PREAMBLEThe National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, hereinafter referred to as the “NAACP” or the “Association,” was founded on the beliefs embodied in the Constitution of the United States of America. We support democracy, dignity and freedom. NAACP VISION STATEMENTThe vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination. NAACP MISSION STATEMENTThe mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. MICHIGAN STATE CONFERENCE BELIEF STATEMENTThe Michigan State Conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People believes that each member is unique and valuable, and that knowledge leads to understanding and respect. We believe that everyone benefits from the rich dimensions of diversity in our Association, in our workplaces, in our schools and in our communities. |
